Sprinkles: They dust our doughnuts, they brighten our ice cream, but what in the world are they made out of?
Unfortunately, most sprinkles are made using artificial food dyes consisting of chemicals that have been linked to serious health issues, including cancer, allergies and hyperactivity in children. So when we were creating our recipe for our Birthday Cake Granola and Birthday Cake Blondie Mix, we knew we wanted to use sprinkles that would add a pop of color without the chemicals.
It was a no-brainer to go with natural-colored sprinkles that would keep our granola clean yet colorful. Unlike others, our sprinkles are made from natural, wholesome ingredients such as blueberries, beets and turmeric. They’re clean, they’re good for us, and they’re tasty, too!
Dessert time (and breakfast time, and snack time) has never looked so bright :)
