If you’ve been anywhere on social media lately, you’ve seen the legendary "Dubai Chocolate Bar." It’s famous for that signature crunch and the luscious, nutty green filling.

Today, we’re giving this viral sensation a wholesome, snack time twist! We’ve swapped traditional toasted kunafa pastry for our beloved Safe + Fair Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Granola, giving you that iconic "crunch" along with an extra layer of cookie dough flavor—all while keeping the luxurious flavor profile on this internet sensation in tack.
Packed with natural ingredients and easy to throw together, we’re bringing you a Homemade Dubai Chocolate Granola Bar we know will make its way to the top of the “lunch box favorites” list in your household.

What You’ll Need:

  • 2 cups Safe + Fair Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Granola
  • 1/2 cup rolled oats
  • 1/3 cup almond butter (or any nut/seed butter of choice)
  • 1/3 cup honey or maple syrup
  • 1/4 cup cocoa powder (unsweetened)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup dark chocolate chips or chopped dark chocolate

What You'll Do:

  1. Prepare your pan: Line an 8x8-inch baking dish with parchment paper, leaving some overhang to easily lift the bars out later.
  2. Mix dry ingredients: In a large bowl, combine the Safe + Fair Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Granola, rolled oats, cocoa powder, and salt.
  3. Heat wet ingredients: In a small saucepan over low heat, warm the almond butter and honey/maple syrup, stirring until smooth and well combined. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract.
  4. Combine: Pour the wet mixture over the dry ingredients. Stir thoroughly until all granola and oats are evenly coated.
  5. Add chocolate chips: Let the mixture cool for 2-3 minutes (to prevent melting) and then fold in half the dark chocolate chips.
  6. Press and chill: Transfer the mixture to the prepared pan. Press firmly and evenly into the pan using a spatula or your hands. Sprinkle the remaining chocolate chips over the top and gently press them in.
  7. Set: Refrigerate for at least 2 hours until firm.
  8. Slice and enjoy: Use the parchment paper overhang to lift the set granola slab out of the pan. Slice into bars and store in an airtight container in the fridge.

Tips for Perfect Bars

  • For a nut-free version, swap almond butter for sunflower seed butter.
  • Add chopped nuts (if there isn't an allergen limitation) or dried fruit for extra texture and flavor.
  • Keep bars refrigerated for the best texture and to prevent them from becoming too soft.
